BACKGROUND

Will is a water engineer with more than 24 years experience. He started his career in consulting, then moved to the concrete industry where he gained valuable management experience. In 1990 he moved into the water industry with Tubemakers Water, (now Tyco Water) were he gained experience in pipeline materials, design, detailing, manufacture and installation. Will joined Interflow, a specialist pipeline rehabilitation Company in 2003 where he gained expertise in pipeline system rehabilitation.
Since January 2006 Will has worked as a contractor and a consultant to the water industry focusing on pipeline planning studies, design, condition assessment, trenchless rehabilitation and rehabilitation planning for Brisbane Water, Calaqua and major contracting companies.

 

KEY EXPERTISE

Will’s area of special interest is all aspects of pipelines. Will is very experienced in pipeline rehabilitation and repair of pipeline systems, pipeline infrastructure assessment, forensic investigation, economic analysis and design including material selection, coatings and linings selection and construction. He is skilled in pipeline construction including open trench and trenchless rehabilitation techniques, cost estimating, determining constructability, contract management, preparation of site management plans and pipeline installation training.

 

MAJOR EXPERIENCE

Will’s other areas of expertise include all aspects of contract negotiation including contract documentation, specification creation and review, tender preparation, tender review and direct contractor negotiations; all aspects of the planning process including strategic planning, preparation, review and audit of quality management plans; and asset condition assessment.
His experience also includes people, contract and team management; and capital planning and implementation.
